The Hayden Middle School Library Media Center houses a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books as well as magazines for different student interests.
The library space is utilized throughout the year for check-in/check-out of materials, library classes, small-group activities, student and faculty/staff celebrations, collaboration units with librarian/teachers, meetings, school pictures, quiet place to study...there is always something going on in our library!
Our library classes focus on navigating the library resources, cultivating a love of reading, digital citizenship, and much more.
Resources for teachers and students
Alabama Virtual Library is a collection of free, reliable data bases with a variety of resources: e-books, encyclopedias, magazine articles, journals, videos, primary sources, and much more. avl.lib.al.us
OPAC (HMS library online catalog) is used by patrons to search our library materials by title, author, or keywords. Users are able to access information such as summaries, call numbers, status (available or checked out).
